Any news on Fabianski's injury?
Let's hope it's not too bad.

Would think it had more to do with having a 3rd keeper in to allow Trott to go out on loan and get some valuable experience.

I did wonder why we even brought 2 back-up keepers in the first place but it does seem like a wise decision now with Fabianski's injury.

However, that is only the case if they persist with Roberto and don't at least give Martin a chance? Otherwise, what's the point?

It's almost as if they knew that Fab was going to get injured and they needed a ready made no.2 to step in and someone half decent to be his back-up? Obviously they didn't though.

i wonder about the Latinos thing. Why do we have to have so many Spanish and Portuguese speakers? Does Pellers spend too little time looking outside of South America and Spain for players?

South Americans have always struggled a bit in the Premier League. Having a lot of them in one team is pretty rare. Perhaps having too many technically good but languid players isn't ever going to work in the English game.

Phil parkes says he likes David Martin in this but presume he's just supporting his pal alvin's kid

Martin is a shit keeper but Roberto would look pony in women's football, such is his abject shitness.

considering martin kept 4 clean sheets in the championship for that awful millwall side i presumed he was the number 2 in the first place over roberto

Time to give Alvin's kid a go, I think.

Roberto is not working out thus far and is costing us points.

“We've signed so many criminally bad latinas that we're beginning to look like a Mexican jail.”

Agagagag

I’m sure there are plenty of Mexican jail sides that would have done better out there yesterday than this lot.

Re: Any news on Fabianski's injury?
Martin has to play the next few games, surely? As somebody said further down the thread, he always looked OK for MK Dons - nothing spectacular, but solid.

He cannot be worse than Roberto who, frankly put, is an unmitigated disaster.

MP had better quickly realise that just because somebody speaks Spanish does not make them invariably a better footballer. We've signed so many criminally bad latinas that we're beginning to look like a Mexican jail.

We've even got a nice selection of neck and gang tattoos to prove it.

Re: Any news on Fabianski's injury?
I've seen David Martin when he played a long time for MK Dons and he always gave me the impression of being a very competent keeper. God knows why he hasn't yet been given the opportunity to show that for West Ham.

Yeah, I admit I didn’t expect Roberto to be such a shit keeper that he exposed all of Pellegrini’s shortcomings as a manager.

kylay, I'm the wrong side of sixty, and it takes an age to recover match fitness from episodes of sciatica.

On the other hand, the bonus is you get the wonderful feeling of improving from match to match, instead of the gradual decline you otherwise get at my age...

You couldn't make it up with our injuries.

Key player, tick.

Freak injury, tick.

Misses large chunk of season, tick.

Last season's Hammer of the year, tick.

Add in that Adrian didn't want to be a no:2, goes to Liverpool as their number 2 and has played every game Inc CL and is playing well with them top of the league.
